What If My Kids Act Crazy During Our Family Session? l Norman, Oklahoma Family Photographer
Listen, I get it! No parent likes it when their kid turns into a rambunctious little monster (I mean that playfully) and loses the ability to hear words coming out of the parent's mouth. But guess what.. that's just what kids do sometimes during a photo session and I'm here for it! I'm going to give you three reasons why you don't have to worry about it at all.
Reason #1 - I've seen it ALL
After photographing families for 10 years, I've seen it all. I've witnessed every joyful variation of toddler tantrum, meltdown, and teenage angst there is. Not just from other people's kids either - I'm an experienced mother of 3 spirited boys, one of which is the king of being grumpy. When you have a family session with me, it's a 100% judgement-free zone. Us parents have to stick together and there's no need to apologize for your child's behavior. I truly understand how kids are!
Reason #2 - I build in EXTRA TIME
If anyone is upset or acting up, we can give them the time and space they need. It's not a big deal at all. We can walk, pause for a drink, or just have a chat. There's zero pressure and we'll go with the flow of the child and follow their lead for a bit.
Reason #3 - I'm a kid chasing SUPERSTAR
It's an honest brag! I actually love chasing kids around with my camera and it doesn't bother me at all if they never stop moving. I've found that some of the best images from a session are usually from moments like this when the kids are running around playing. Kids pick up on your stress and anxiety so it's super important to stay relaxed and enjoy this time with your family. Let's make sure both parents are on the same page about this! I'm confident that no matter how your child acts, we're going to get some absolutely amazing photos during your session.
